KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) -- Ferrexpo -- a London Stock Exchange listed iron ore company, signed an agreement with Chinsay -- a market leader in dry bulk freight software, to implement Chinsay´s Recap Manager (RM).
Chinsay´s RM is a single cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) system and will be used for end-to-end contract management and counterparty collaboration tool for Ferrexpo´s ocean freight operations, a statement said. The iron ore company will use Chinsay´s system in managing digital freight contracts across their offices worldwide. Ferrexpo will be able to create, edit, review and share contract information both internally and externally. The platform will also enable Ferrexpo to reduce the time to finalise all their charter party work and minimise the potential for contractual errors with risk and compliance oversight. Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chinsay, Dag Sundén-Cullberg said: "We will be able to provide Ferrexpo with market best practices by using our secure cloud based collaborative platform to help identify and manage risk and use analytics technologies to enhance their performance. KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- Toshiba Electronic Devices and Storage Corporation (Toshiba), as a Silicon Partner of Mbed - a device management solution for IoT platforms developed by Arm Ltd - has acquired the certification of Mbed OS for its microcontrollers.
Toshiba in a statement said that two evaluation boards that integrate these microcontrollers have been released on the Arm Mbed site. The microcontroller, TMPM066FWUG supporting Arm Mbed OS and Mbed evaluation board 'AdBun-M066' made by sensyst. The online compiler provided by Arm can be used with evaluation boards supporting Mbed OS and device programming can be performed with drag-and-drop simplicity on a host PC connected to the boards via USB. Developers can also access the rich component libraries verified by the Mbed community, allowing fast and efficient development of applications for embedded devices. As Toshiba microcontrollers now support Mbed OS, the Toshiba group can propose and deliver total solutions for secure IoT systems covering clouds to devices. Also present at the ceremony were Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin. The Selangor Tithe Board in a statement said of the total RM1.8 million received today, RM1.3 million involved the business tithe from Mahsa University. It was presented by Mahsa's Pro-Chancellor and Executive Chairman, Prof Tan Sri Mohamed Haniffa Abdullah. Another RM550,000 was the business tithe from the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation and was presented by its group general manager, Tamby Omar Mohammed. At the same event, Sultan Sharafuddin also presented Aidilfitri contributions to 275 'asnaf' (tithe recipients) of the poor and underprivileged, as well as 211 'asnaf' of Muslims converts from the Sepang district. All of them received tithe of RM500 each, involving an allocation totalling RM243,000. In a statement today, SMBCMY said Chin has replaced Datuk Md Agil Mohd Natt who retired on April 1, this year. Chin has been an independent non-executive director (INED) of SMBCMY since Sept 18, 2015. During his tenure as INED, he has served as chairman of both the Board Audit Committee (BAC) and Board Nominations and Remuneration Committee (BNRC), as well as a member of the Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC). Chin has over 30 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. He spent 14 years with Societe Generale (SG) Group at its offices in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. SG is an international banking group headquartered in Paris and listed on the Paris Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, Datuk Wan Mohd Fadzmi Che Wan Othman Fadzilah, 52, was appointed as INED of SMBCMY effective April 1, 2018. He will assume the role of chairman of the BRMC while simultaneously serving as a member of the BAC and BNRC. Wan Fadzmi has over 25 years of experience in the domestic and international banking industry, and has led key business units in London, New York and Hong Kong.
